The National Museum of Romanian Literature houses an authentic literary treasure consisting of manuscripts, books, personal objects, art objects, photographs, audio-video recordings that presents a metaphorical image in the depth and complexity of the arts of the word in Romanian literature. Although we have been forced to leave Casa Kretzulescu, our host for almost 50 years, we keep the memory of this place in a virtual tour that will take you through the former museum rooms ... The National Museum of Romanian Literature has an authentic literary treasure consisting of manuscripts, old and rare books, historical-literary documents, personal objects and pieces of furniture belonging to Romanian writers, art objects (painting, graphics, sculpture), periodicals, photographs, audio-video recordings that give a thorough picture of the depth and complexity of the whole arts of the word in Romanian literature, placed in a national and universal context alike. At present, the National Romanian Literature Museum has more than 300,000 pieces, organized in about 300 collections, comprising manuscripts of most important writers such as Mihai Eminescu, Vasile Alecsandri, Titu Maiorescu, IL Caragiale, Ion Creanga, Lucian Blaga, Ion There were many others.

Under the generic title About Literature and Sign, PMB through the MLNR in partnership with UAP of Romania and the Stone Institute of the Republic of Korea, organizes the 5th Romanian - Korean Intercultural Exhibition between 05.10-30.10.2018 in the spaces of the Romanian Literature Museum, the headquarters in Calea Griviţei nr 64. The theme of the exhibition is: About the Letter and Sign, where the Letter also refers to the metaphorical, inspiring feature of the written text, a literary work of any kind of written form that often forms the basis of the inspiration of the visual artist, being the driving force of the creative act . The sign may also be the Letter, which is the module, the basic unit of the literary work, but the sign is also the sculptural volume, or the spatial object that can be perceived as a visual letter or metaphor.
