Artist - Run Culture – criticism, resistance, getaway
Curator: Igor Mocanu
05.10 – 05.11.2018

This year's NAG focus exhibition presents the project, curated by art critic Igor Mocanu ‘Artist - Run Culture – criticism, resistance, getaway’

The public is invited to discover a different kind of history of independent spaces active in Bucharest and not only, which have had a significant influence on the history of contemporary culture in Romania over the last ten years. The exhibition will be open to the public for one month in the space of Rezidența BRD Scena9, which in the last two editions of White Night of Galleries has become one of the main points on the map of this event in Bucharest.

The October program will include conferences, artist talks, guided tours and, last but not least, the educational program "What’s about contemporary art?" through which we want to familiarize the younger age groups with the phenomenon of contemporary culture.

"Artist-run culture - critical, resistance, getaway" expose in the space of Rezidența BRD Scena9 the projects: Centre for Art Analysis (CAA) - Lia Perjovschi / Galeria Nouă - Aurora Kiraly / ÎNCEPEM, 2020, Școala Generală - Vlad Nancă / Paradis Garaj - Claudiu Cobilanschi / CLub Electroputere - Adrian Bojenoiu & Alexandru Niculescu / Jumătatea Plină & Sâmbăta Sonoră - Anamaria Pravicencu & Octav Avramescu, Lorgenale - Jean-Lorin Sterian / Bureau for Melodramatic Research - Alina Popa & Irina Gheorghe / Postspectacol - Ion Dumitrescu & Florin Flueraș and in space A5 Studio Space the project " Muzeul Benzii Desenate " - coordinator: Alexandru Ciubotariu (Ciubi / Pisica Pătrată)
