Phleébographie, phleps – vein, graphein – to write Through phlebographic (venographic) writing exercises, Ema Voinescu aims to analyze different aspects of the bifurcation, common in the natural world and human biology. The artist’s line retraces an originary writing path, can archeology of mystical intertwinings between humans and nature, clinks perceived as interdependent by the artist. The process of searching becomes the purpose of this elaborate anthropological research, a process of becoming and rhythmicity. The artist chooses to close in on the subject the same way a naturalist researches his analyzes subjects, while the eye of the critic dictates the investigation. The artist produce a cartography of the relationships developed with different people, through the process of doing a venographic ”portreyal”of them,represented as physical echoes:ink drawings,carbonized branches.The final product of this investment is an on going process of development as the artist prefers to present different aspects of the „archive” used during the investigation.
