Open Studios at Combinatul Fondului Plastic is an initiative of the Combinart/1+1=10 Association. This way the public can view more open studios, and our goal is to include in this project all the existing 60 studios and working-spaces within this heterogeneous artistic community, potentially a creative-hub of almost 2 acres surface. In our vision just this way one can understand and realize the complexity and diversity of art in this former factory of art supplies of the Romanian Union of Artists which, somehow, survived the social and economical changes of the latest years from communist to post-communist Romania, and now at almost 50 year of existence, is preparing seemingly for a spectacular re-newel.

Time Based Arts@Time Factor(y) is a workshop which started in 2014 in the National University of Art and its purpose is to introduce TBA in the University curricula. Although usually tba referred to the temporal arts which embodies film, installation video-art, in our vision assumed peculiar vision it has four segments such as follows: Mixed media sculpture- Reka Csapo Dup, video-art- Patricia Teodorescu, performance-art Raluca Ghideanu/ Irinel Anghel and audio-sphere- Mihai Plamadeala. This year the event Arts in Bucharest will be placed under the generic theme IN - VARIABLE the main focus is on exploring micro - urban territories resulting from structural fragmentation of the city in which we live.
Bucharest City Hall, the Monuments Heritage and Tourism Administration in collaboration with the Cultural Association COMBINART / 1 + 1 = 10, organizes the contest "Sculptors for the Future" contest that aims to create for young pupils, students passionate of sculpture who are inrolled in specialized institutions in Bucharest, a competitive environment in which talent, hard work and skill will be awarded. The competition takes place for the following categories, namely: 1) young people from high schools specialized arts classes to XI and XII-; 2) students from the universities of its kind in Bucharest. Participants will do a modelling in a space provided by the Association COMBINART / 1 + 1 = 10 (Pottery Hall inside Combinatul Fondului Plastic (CFP) Street. Baiculesti nr. 29, sector 1, Bucureşti). Young people will participate in this contest from the colleges of Fine Arts Nicolae Tonitza respectively Paciurea Dimitrie (located inside CFP) as well the students from the National University of Arts Bucureşti .- 1400 to 1600 - the first group of the number of 20 participants (students); - 1600 - 1700 - break; - 1700 - 1900 - the second group of participants in number 20 (students); 2. Judging works: The Schedule 1900-2000 3. Award ceremony: will be held 20:00 The theme is portraits of personalities representative for Romanian culture. Proposals for topics are 1. Constantin Brancusi (1876-1957) - sculptor, occupied a special place in world art history. 2. Lucian Blaga (1895-1961) - poet, playwright, philosopher. 3. George BACOVIA - (1881 -1957) - Romanian writer French literary symbolism formed at the school. 4. Camil Petrescu (1894-1957) - novelist, playwright, poet, essayist, philosopher. 5. George Enescu (1881-1955) - Composer, violinist, teacher, pianist and conductor Romanian. It is considered the most important Romanian musician. 6. Dinu Lipatti (1917-1950) - pianist, composer and teacher Romanian. A post-mortem was elected member of the Romanian Academy (1997). 7. PALLADY Theodor (1871-1956) - painter. In 2012 he was declared post-mortem member of the Romanian Academy. 8. Nicholas TONITZA (1886 -1940) - Romanian painter and illustrator 9. PETRASCU Milita - (1892-1976) - artist, sculptor and portrait painter Romanian, 10. Lucia STURDZA BULANDRA - (1914-1947) - was the actress most representative of this period. The jury will choose by choice two of the topics, from which the participants can choose one or other due to the subjective feeling of each one.
