We are a group of artists who live and desire to exhibit in Sibiu. 'Nostru' is a platform we opened for contemporary art and it was formed from our wish of having our own space where we can express our ideas and expose them as often as possible. We are a group with different artistic perspectives and just like pixels, who used to be scattered all over the town, now we grouped in a new resolution to depict the ansamble picture of Sibiu's art. Nostru members are: Casandra Vidrighin, Chris Balthes, Dan Raul Pintea, Lavinia Creţu, Stefan Radu Creţu, Kristina Ratiu Demuth, Raisa Hagiu

White Night of the Galleries is a project initiated and organized by Ephemair which on the occasion of its tenth edition extends its nocturnal program in art galleries, alternative spaces, creative hubs and cultural institutions from nine other cities. And as since Nostru’s group is an prolific alternative in Romanian contemporary art circuit, got the proposition proposed to include Sibiu in the Nag. Thus, along Bucharest, there will be exhibitions and events dedicated to contemporary art in Arad, Baia Mare, Brasov, Cluj-Napoca, Iasi, Craiova, Sibiu, Targu Mures and Timisoara.

10 years had to pass since I attended the first edition, so that we can have such a event like this in Sibiu, where unfortunately are not alternative spaces to support such efforts. We ourselves are searching for such a space so we used the support of City Hall who were willing to help us, leaving us their courtyard available for one night.

The concept of the exhibition itself is to show that emerging young artists today do not receive the necessary support they need to do art and that artists generally only receive recognition posthumously. And how do other than by showing that the Romanian Government raise funds for the purchase of Cuminţeniea Pământului and for young artists nobody gather nothing. Therefore as curator of this exhibition, found it necessary to join Brancusi subscription another symbolic subscription for Our/Nostru’s group.

The idea came from our government campaign entitled "Brancusi's mine" and group title "Our". Thus emerged the ironic twist: "Brancusi's ours"
