Negru Zi – coffee & arts is a specialty coffee shop located in the heart of Iași, near Piața Unirii / Union Square, in a historic building dating back to 1908, Streit House. Negru Zi represents the vision of two local entrepreneurs who aimed to showcase creativity, sustainability and the need for self-expression in a space with cultural dimensions. Its proximity to the George Enescu University of Arts (Theatre and Music), the tradition of the old Arte Bar in attracting theatre and improvisation groups, the need for an independent, flexible stage, as well as the passion for coffee and hospitality, were the foundations of this project. Negru Zi is a space of balance, of opposites that attract, of the principles of yin and yang, of life both day and night—a place for quality coffee.
