MAGMA is an artist-run space that initiates, along with group or personal exhibitions, projects such as artistic production, artist-talks, workshops, online and offline publications. Founded in 2010 by the visual artists Barnabás Vetró, Attila Kispál and Ágnes-Evelin Kispál, it represents an “artists for artists” initiative. The exhibition program is based on a concept adapted to the directions of contemporary art, with more emphasis on conceptual art and new media. MAGMA Contemporary Art Space works with the support of the Sekler National Museum and Covasna County Council.

October 3–4, Friday, Saturday, Special visiting hours: 18–23 6:00 PM – 12:00 PM // AnnART Archive / Exclusive screening from a selection of video materials about the AnnART Performance Festival (1990–1999) October 5, Sunday, Special visiting hours: 16–23 4:00 PM – 10:00 PM // AnnART Archive / Exclusive screening from a selection of video materials about the AnnART Performance Festival (1990–1999) 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM // Zacusca Tasting / Bring a jar of zacusca – prepared by you, by your family members, or even received from neighbors :) – so we can enjoy together these healthy vegetable dishes. Bread for the tasting is provided by us, courtesy of the Madárlátta Bakery. The most delicious zacusca will be awarded by an international jury of three members. 8:30 PM – 9:00 PM // Guided tour of the Volunteer New Wave exhibition and conversation with Ütő Gusztáv about the early years of the Art High School. During the White Night of the Galleries program, the first chapter of the exhibition entitled Volunteer New Wave can still be visited at the MAGMA Contemporary Art Space. The exhibition presents the cultural initiatives and artistic practices of the first five generations of the Art High School in Sfântu Gheorghe.
