The exhibition brings together two groups of artists, Brukenthal von Studio and Atelier Rod, along with other guests, in an initiatory and thematic dialogue. .......................................... Under the fire of the Nous, the amorphous matter transforms into Lapis. Our actions become an instrument for shaping reality, a factic transposition of factual consciousness. The question that arises is whether the attempts at incarnation are efforts to ascend into the astral or, on the contrary, descents into the mundane, through which we bring into the tangible a part of the ineffable, attempting to reflect in palpable reality that which, by its very nature, remains intangible. Therefore, the transmutations of matter would find their fulfillment in the Great Work not through redemption but through reuniting in Rebis, a return to the primordial, an anamnesis of the immanent One, outside the limits of the cagastric world – the world that fell after transgression. In this context, matter becomes a vehicle of memory, a space for reflection upon the self. Thus, it is in this inward turn, rather than outward, that opportunities for spiritual expansion might be found: the transition from the actual to the virtual, from illusion to essence, from creation to the increate.
