A Jewish proverb says that: Because God could not be everywhere, He invented the mother. So do we: As there is no Mother's Museum anywhere in Romania or elsewhere, we invented it in Petrila. With this initiative, we wanted to pay tribute to the personal mother, but at the same time our foundation is also a museum of all mothers. Paraphrasing a quote from Petrilean writer of European vocation, we name here and now Ion D. Sîrbu, we can say that Mother gave us the backbone. A woman, who with all her modest condition, managed to give birth to four children and endow them with high schools and an education in which the seven years at home seem, I say, much longer.
