X-Art Collective is a multicultural group of five artists — Eric Michel, Calarasiu Maria-Lorenna, Simona Dimache, Mihaela Mago, and Nicolas Hermann — founded in 2020 during the pandemic. Inspired by the spirit of Black Mountain College, the collective explores multimedia experimentation as a way to foster creativity, dialogue, and new forms of identity. Through international collaborations and site-specific projects, X-Art creates immersive environments that merge light, space, sound, and natural elements. Since its foundation, the collective has presented large-scale installations and exhibitions across Romania, France, and Greece, including the Amural Festival in Brașov, 59 Rivoli in Paris, Romanian Design Week in Bucharest, Sala Omnia in collaboration with Mutualloop, Casa cu Blazoane Museum, the Iridavisions Festival in Athens, and residencies at Caza d’Oro and Abbaye de Combelongue in France.
