ANETTA MONA CHIȘA & LUCIA TKACOVA: a chaotiC MutaTion, a cAnvas Leak opening: Saturday, 22.09.2018, 6 – 9 pm visiting hours: 22.09 – 26.10.2018, by appointment It all starts from hands and fingers, which we use in order to operate everything, ever since tools were invented and without which our touch-screens remain, at most, small black mirrors that only reflect ourselves. Screens that sometimes break and release their true potential of visual energy, reveal beautiful optical coincidences, lose their immaterial nature and finally become (prophetic) objects per se. Hands and fingers that sometimes have long nails, painted bright red in order to point out to more than a certain style; they remind of ancestral claws, used for intimidation of rivals and as (survival) instruments. In fact, it all starts from hands and fingers as tools, used for the production of tools that enable hands to operate other tools for the creation of new tools. Prophecies of the past interweave with prophecies of the future. Two installations, ← The Prophecy of Things → and yYYyYyyYYYYyYy take on two different spaces. They seem, at first, the results of different thought processes but have, in fact, followed the same path – the one above. The first of them starts from the fascination for the abstract composition of the broken LCD screen, and places it at the focal point of a multicolor spectrum. The second one could appear to be a dangerous trail, if it weren't for the temptation to personally try its beautiful, elegant, modern sharp red weapons. (text: sandwich & artists) On this occasion, sandwich embraces the Chocolat extension, a new inside space that, even from its first appearance, refuses to let itself be fully discovered. Sandwich-Chocolat and sandwich will work alternatively or in collaboration. This event is part of the Project “Sandwich Makes a Move”.
