The large artistic projects impress with their diversity and scale, but behind them is often the work of young artists who make the project possible. They are the ones who install, document, plan and solve most of the problems, but their names do not appear on the poster, and their contribution does not translate into artistic recognition. For them, the collaborations "behind the scenes" of cultural events become more of a mean of survival than a launching pad, consoling themselves that at least they are working in their field. True affirmation only begins when they create opportunities for themselves: independent collectives, self-managed exhibitions, projects carried out with minimal or non-existent budgets, only with the energy and determination that gives shape to a new artistic scene. Grass Grows in the Shadows aims to provide visibility to these artists at the beginning of their journey, to those who, although invisible within the framework of large events, today produce a wave of alternative practices and a fresh and experimental language. In other words, a 3-day and 3-night exhibition with art, music and DJ sets.
