Punct. is an emerging and independent artist-run space in Timișoara, initially created as a workshop, later opened for entry into the artistic scene through the debut of public events. The founding members are: Adrian Giurgilă, Alexandru Ciocan, Ana Crețu, Bogdan Neo, Mihail Riglea, Roxana Poenaru, and Vlad Maniu. We believe in the necessity of independent artist-run spaces, among others, as they represent a key element in the democratization and accessibility of art. We have reused a former industrial space both out of the need for a working studio and the desire to create a small cultural hub. As individuals, our artistic approaches are vastly different, but we believe that this can add to the diversification of the created contexts and the type of interactions with the local sphere.
